Taking something to replace Valium? I lived in Dallas for many years, I recently had a head injury and had several MRIs and x-rays done. My doctor tried many medications to help the nerve damage in my head. I just moved to to Chickasha, OK to take care of my father as he is 93. My doctor has retired and is still in Dallas.

Valerian is an herb that Valium is made from, it is available at your local health food store. A warning though, like with all herbs, take only as directed. And you should be aware that it stinks, this is normal and does not mean the pills are bad, it smells like dirty sweat socks, so swollow fast ;))

If you go to a low-income clinic they may be able to help you. They charge according to your income and make payment arrangements. They may not prescribe Valium, but something similar and much cheaper. You would be surprised at the difference in price by buying generic meds instead of brand name. Its just like cheap cerial compared to Kellogs, same stuff but half the price and a bigger bag!
