Obtaining Medical Records in Divorce/Domestic Violence Case

My ex has a traumatic brain injury and has introduced this problem into court. He cannot deal with abrupt changes, loud noises, and tires easily. He is on Social Security Disability as he cannot work.

In our marriage he physically abused me numerous times, but the main documentation was with his doctors (I was present) as we were trying to get him medications or help that would hopefully stop the violence. Also, in those valuable medical documents show really what difficulties he has, which is critical for the court to know concerning our 4 children.

We tried to obtain the medical records via subpoenaing, but his attorney has now filed a motion to quash, saying that those should be protected. I need help and law cases that go in our favor to help me get those medical records. What can I do? Or what cases can I find?
