My husband hit his head. Should we see the doctor? My husband hit his forehead in a metal shelf a few hours ago. From what he told me it was not extremely strong, but he did hit it full force and he felt nauseous for about an hour afterwards. He is not in pain, and there is no visible injury but he feels tired since then and that worries me. Should I take him to the doctor? Would a cold compression help? I do not want to overreact but I have heard that even smaller head injuries can be fatal. Thanks for your advice! |

The young and the old are susceptible to head injuries.Observation is the key.Reduced alertness, drowsiness are warning signs.48hrs is the typical observation period.Nothing to worry as long he is awake and active.Getting in touch with your doctor is always a good idea to keep him informed.
