Have you seen a doctor for a CAT-Scan or a MRI of your head? Or a recent physical?
An abcess is similar to a boil or a pimple and would not cause these type of symptoms. Here is a site from the web describing the symptoms of an Aneurysm. See your Doctor asap.

You can also do a search ANEURYSM TO DEVELOPE and it will show you at least 6-8 sites you can go to. But to answer your question the can develope quickly and sometimes without warning, but geerally there are symptoms and like the answer above I would get medical aatention now just in case
