Arachnoid Cyst help

I am a sevent-two year old man. I live in a Columbus, MS. Many years ago when I was a child I had a head injury when I hit a tree on my bicycle. Three years ago after having a seizure in the neurologist office the neurologist had a complete MRI and other tests run on me which indicated that I had a arachnoid cyst.

He asked me about my seizure history. I told him I had one evry three or four years suffering no long-term complications. He then described the end results of not having the cyst repaired. He went on to say that he would not attempt to operate because the cysts was to close to the brain. He suggested to do noting...to live with it.

As my condition may worsen I would like to know if their is are new methods of controlling this kind of cyst. and it there is a specific hospital and neurolgist that specialize in removing the cyst or if alternative treatments (like drugs that attack the cyst itself) that may be available in solving this problem? Whatever the treatment must assure a very great odd in recovery.

Thank you,

Neville P. Parsons
